The January Edit: A Serene Start to the New Year
13 May 2024
We’re hitting refresh on the January reset with our new edit of best friend handbags. Think of these as the calming influence you want by your side. Zizi, our Director of Design, describes these styles as “incredibly serene”. Something we could all do with more of in our lives.
Noticed our January colour palette? Featuring rich, sophisticated Verdigris and soothing Tranquil Blue. Our Designers have given some of our most popular styles a fresh look with these trending shades. They couldn’t resist when they saw how they translated onto our leathers. Feast your eyes.
We’re swapping New Year resolutions for recommendations. We asked some of the team members involved in creating our fantastic Winter campaign images what they stash in their Radley to stay calm and collected on a busy day.
Tulip Street’s gentle wave-like curves were made for this shade of Verdigris. And yes, that is a new bigger size of Cranwell Close in Tranquil Blue. Both are the perfect shape for a calming pop of colour.
Speaking of calming pop. Melissa, our Creative Lead, always keeps headphones in her Radley so that she can listen to music on a busy day.
“Listening to a great album or guilty pleasure ‘one hit wonder’ that brings back great memories is my go-to for bringing a bit of calm to my day. Wherever I am, I instantly get transported to a happy place and my mood is transformed for the rest of the day.”
We’ve brought Tranquil Blue to our sustainable Radley Responsible collection too. Radley 24/7 is our range of multi-functional bags crafted with recycled nylon (that was once plastic bottles) and water-based PU. And now with a fresh, new year twist on leopard print. What would you keep in yours? Our Creative Production Manager, Helen, has an unexpected answer for what keeps her calm.
“I would say a peppermint tea bag or two. I work from lots of different locations for shoots and I never want to be without them, so I always keep some in my Radley. Even just waiting for the kettle to boil gives me a few minutes away from the computer to gather my thoughts.”
Our Scottie mascot approves of Cranwell Close in classic black. This is our large, huggable size. Crafted with soft grained leather and turned up base corners for that puffy look you’ll be seeing on the catwalks.
Our Social Media Executive, Pippa, always has her eye on the latest trends. She captures some of the behind-the-scenes content you’ll see on our socials.
“I always make sure I have a book in my Radley for a shoot day. It helps me wind down after a busy day on set. Especially as I work in social, it's nice to read on the way home to have my eyes away from a screen.”
Thanks Team Radley, we love your tips and how you’ve brought these bags to life for our Winter campaign. There’s plenty more to see with New In. And lots more to read about over on Radley Stories.
