Designer Picks: Handbags That Make Great Gifts

We’ve introduced you to our fantastic Gift Edit full of cosy accessories and cute stocking fillers. But what about the bigger gifts for your loved ones? Or the styles you’ll be dropping hints about for yourself? That’s where the latest edit from our winter collection comes in.
We spoke to our London Design Studio to share their picks with you.
Sally, Senior Designer, loves our new shoulder bag version of Hillgate Place and she thinks her mum will love it too.
“This unstructured silhouette is so modern, and it shows off our beautiful leather. It’s the perfect size for my mum. She likes to be prepared for everything.”
Our Creative Director, Zizi, knows a thing or two about the very best handbags. That’s why she’s choosing Liverpool Street 2.0 Croc to be by her side going into 2024.
“Nothing says refined detailing like our croc-effect leather. I might not be able to wait until Christmas, this bag will be perfect to go from the office to Christmas parties during December.”
Speaking of refined detailing, Designer Alice has found the ideal handbag for her stylish aunt.
“Just like many of our customers, she loves a handbag that’s all about elevated simplicity. And that’s just how I’d describe Sloane Street Chevron. The hand-woven front panel is made with some of the finest leathers, and it’s such a spacious design.”
We knew Sophie, Designer, would be opting for something bright.
“Our little cross body Hanley Close has been so popular, and this Sugar Pink colour is irresistible. I hope my family pick up on my hints, I can see myself carrying this on New Year’s Eve. And it would be perfect for brightening up grey January days.”
Dani, Designer, knows her friend is looking for a handbag with a timeless quality, and that’s where Dukes Place cross body comes in.
“I know whether we’re going shopping or out for a drink, this is the handbag that will go with every outfit. She’ll love the triple compartment interior too for staying organised.”
Designer Manager Lucy thinks this handbag is a real star.
“Hanley Close Kaleidoscope Star is such a mesmerising style. We chose a smooth leather that would showcase that intricate, embossed print detail. I always get my Christmas shopping done early so I’ve already gotten everyone else’s presents, I think this one would be perfect for me.”
